“Many of my clients are aware that I have had numerous health problems through the years. Despite fighting cancer, undergoing a liver transplant, having a congenital heart defect addressed, and dealing with other problems, my love of serving clients has kept me going.
However, I have reached a point where I can no longer keep Acumen Accounting in operation. Over the last two years, my condition has deteriorated significantly. Currently, I am unable to sit at my desk for more than an hour or two each day, disabling pain is nearly constant, and I can no longer offer the level of service to my clients that they expect and deserve. I have been listed for another liver transplant, but the timing for such a serious surgery is uncertain.
Consequently, I have made the difficult choice to close Acumen Accounting immediately. I am working on finding well-qualified, enrolled professionals that you may use for services in the future and will post that information here in the near future. I will also help to the extent I can with any unfinished business you may have before the IRS. Since my condition is uncertain, I cannot make any guarantees here, but I will do whatever I can for you.
If you have uploaded documents to the ShareFile portal, I will keep this area open until December 31, 2018 so that you can download your recent returns and other documents. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if I have any hard copies of documentation that you would like to have returned. Otherwise, all paperwork and other client files will be securely shredded and destroyed in 2019.
Of course, your thoughts and prayers are always appreciated. Thank you for your support through the years. May God richly bless you as he has blessed me.”
